Real Name: Christopher Summers

A former soldier in the United States Air Force, Christopher is the father of two sons named Alex and Scott, who grew up to become the X-Men known as Havok and Cyclops. When the Summers brothers were still children, Christopher and his wife Kate were abducted by the Shi'Ar, under the leadership of the mad Emperor D'Ken. While Christopher was forced to work as a slave in D'Ken's mines, Kate was selected to become one of his concubines. Kate may or may not have given birth to D'Ken's illegitimate son Adam X (X-Treme), which would make him the third Summers brother that has been hinted at by Mr. Sinister. Christopher, meanwhile, attempted to rouse his fellow slaves into a rebellion, and to quash him D'Ken brought Christopher to him and murdered Kate before his very eyes. Returned to the slave colony, Christopher befriended his fellow prisoners Hepzibah, Ch'od and Raza Laserfist, and together the four escaped. Taking the name Corsair, Summers became the leader of the group, who became the intergalactic band of pirates known as the Starjammers. Summers achieved a measure of revenge when he helped the X-Men and Lillandra to usurp D'Ken. The Starjammers continue to be active in Shi'Ar space, viewed as enemies of the empire nearly as often as allies.

Summers possesses extensive knowledge of Earth weaponry, as well as that of the Shi'Ar. He is currently Hepzibah's lover.
